The dish 'Panseared fillet of beef with a spring vegetable medley, lyonnaise potatoes and red wine jus' was praised by assessors for the perfectly cooked and trimmed, lean and tender beef, lovely marriage of flavours and excellent presentation. Colour and texture contrasts were outstanding. This was a superbly constructed entry, showcasing exemplary dish components, professional technique and meticulous presentation."

A unique dining experience awaits you in this elegant and evocative restaurant. With antique Mexican doors, original New Zealand artwork, Italian tiled floor, huge open fire, leather chairs and views directly over the vineyard, Tirohana Cellars offers clients a memorable experience of award-winning wine, premium cuisine with excellent service. Tirohana Cellars is open daily for both lunch and dinner, casual and fine dining - and weather permitting, clients are also welcome to dine al fresco on the terraces overlooking the picturesque vines.

A sumptuous menu showcasing fresh local produce is available seven days a week for both lunch and dinner.

Each Sunday throughout the spring, back by popular demand, the Tirohana traditional Sunday roast lunch (with a fish or vegetarian option) which is served by a roaring open log cosy fire.

Private dining options are available for that extra special occasion both within the vineyard restaurant and at Tirohana colonial house - with even an option of having your personal chef attend to every detail.

We also cater for special events, weddings, birthday party and anniversary celebrations. And have gift vouchers available in all denominations, which can be redeemed through the restaurant (and indeed through the Cellar Door for wine orders or accommodation at Tirohana Colonial House).

A patio area adjacent to Tirohana Cellars, the terraces occupy a raised position with magnificent views across the vines to the hills beyond.

Outdoor wooden and wrought iron furniture with large sun umbrellas offer guests the perfect spot in which to sample a glass of wine or food from the Lunch menu during the cooler months and BBQ food and special events during the summer.
