2010 SUMMER SEASON

With summer very much with us in New Zealand, Tirohana Estate is fully open seven days per week from 9 am each day - so if you felt like sampling our atmospheric Cellar Door to try out some of our new release wines (or some of the award-winning classic varieties) then it's a great time to visit Martinborough and relax on the outdoor Terraces with a glass of wine, overlooking the picturesque vines.

Tirohana Cellars Restaurant is open seven days per week for lunch and dinner and offers both indoor fine dining and outdoor casual dining options. Reservations are recommended for lunch and are essential for dinner. With harvest time approaching not too far away on the horizon, the vines really are beautiful this time of year and there's some lovely fresh local produce available on the menu so it's a perfect opportunity to enjoy the summer sunshine with a lunch, or late summer nights with a dinner at our restaurant in the vines.
GIFT BOXES
Still available are Tirohana gift boxes, which can be sent via courier door to door and can be designed to suit your specific requirements filled with tailor made goodies - along with Tirohana's premium award-winning wines of course.

GIFT VOUCHERS
If you're looking for something extra special as a gift for those extra special to you, then why not consider a Tirohana gift voucher, which is available in all denominations and can be redeemed for wine through the Cellar Door or meals in the restaurant or for accommodation at Tirohana's Colonial House as well as our sister properties, Duckback Cottage and Red Petal Cottage.

Amongst some very flattering comments of this prestigious award, the following represent the dish anonymous assessors sampled:-
"We are delighted to announce that you have received the 2009 New Zealand Beef and Lamb Hallmark of Excellence, which recognises quality in preparation and presentation of your main course beef and lamb dishes. The dish 'Panseared fillet of beef with a spring vegetable medley, lyonnaise potatoes and red wine jus' was praised by assessors for the perfectly cooked and trimmed, lean and tender beef, lovely marriage of flavours and excellent presentation. Colour and texture contrasts were outstanding. This was a superbly constructed entry, showcasing exemplary dish components, professional technique and meticulous presentation."
